Tulsi actually served in our military. That alone earns her a place in the conversation even if I don't trust her to lead.
If you believe the Internet, she is to this day serving in CA National Guard with rank of Lt. Colonel. That might explain her familiarity with weapons.
Jury still out on where her current mindset is at. She has a cluttered past.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.
Tulsi stated she is leaving the Democratic Party today. Lots of history to unpack for her to move to a full support of our constitution in the area of the 2nd amendment. I believe that amendment is very clear. Hope her change is meaningful.
She supports the Hawaii level of gun control, at least she did when she run for president. I like the middle of the road on some issues but still way to far left on the ones that matter.
Besides that that governor from South Dakota is way more in line with my thinking and hotter.
A famous paraphrased quote. "if you're not a liberal when you're 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative at 40, you have no brain.
Its possible she just matured and learned from life experiences. Its also possible that she's a garden variety dc politician flipflopping with the wind. The quote that sums up my thoughts the best is " the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Its certainly clear that she has garnered hillary's hatred, nancy's hatred over the years and that means something. Regardless its tough to argue that Donald beliefs didn't evolve over a lifetime and what does it cost me to give her or him the benefit of a doubt?
Yea she is purdy but dont forget she attended WEF conventions and was touted as one of the great new world leaders the WEF had invested in. To name a few of her classmates: Trudeau,Macron, Obama, Clinton, and Bush. among others.
When you do some checking, you find that not so long ago......perhaps in past 2 or 3 years.......she was something like 2nd in line from top of DNC. So for her to pull the plug and denounce them now is a big deal.......at least for DNC and who supports them. She is calling them out for all the stupid stuff going on. That does not mean her mindset on issues are anything like mine. Unlikely they ever will be.
As for supporting a politician, I'd rather get behind someone that has been where they are all along vs. someone who had to do a 180 to get there. Having said that, there have been a couple notable exceptions. Reagan and Trump come to mind.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.
Her party turned on her. She changed trying to stay in the game. Her rhetoric sound good yet does not go deep enough. Many politicians claim to be pro 2nd yet vote for restrictions on that right.
I prefer to see actions not just hear empty words.
She is in total disagreement with the democrats and their pushing of this woke agenda.
I agree with Diggerman, people can come to their senses and change. But, it doesn't mean they will change everything they may have supported in the past overnight. I prefer to take a "Wait & See" attitude.
I remember prior to Trump's presidential election a few of my conservative friends telling me he was a liberal, but the lesser of two evils when it comes to Hillary. If he is elected, we should plan for the worst and hope for the best.
Planned Parenthood warns funding cuts will result in birth of thousands of babies.
I am happy that she has recognized the destructive path the woke Dems are taking the country and is openly critical of them. However, I would prefer that she join the Republican party and become a full time, full throated conservative. Instead she went Independant. My concern is that if she runs for public office she may siphon off some of the conservative vote causing the Republican to lose to the Democrat the way Ross Perot got Clinton elected. If her positions are continuing to evolve there is the possibility she will become a solid conservative. Her military service gives me no confidence of that given the politics of some highly decorated veterans such as General Wesley Clark.
