The grendel has a solid following just not the hype of the creed. Plus it is pretty much confined to just AR users and most often shows up as grendel vs 6.8 SPC, kind of a niche category. Plus Alexander Arms nearly killed off the grendel development by keeping it proprietary for the longest.
Between the two the 6.8 is the better all around round at reasonable hunting/field ranges, <300. The 6.5 comes into it's own past 300 and often requires a 20"+ tube to do that plus has issues on the back end with a larger case head making for a weaker bolt.

I have heard some , about the Grendel being limited range and well chosen shot placment on game , really that is anything almost anything you can get in a stanag mag

who was it here that had their thermal on a 6.5 Grendel and didn't like it for hogs and now has it on a 450bm one of the GA guys

I see nothing wrong with 6.5cm it just sin't all the hype it gets
