You don't need a heavy draw weght to kill deer or bear, fifty pounds would be more than enough. I doubt there is a bow on the market that isn't at least 80% letoff so you're not holding a great deal of weight once you get to full draw.

Compounds are all muscle conditioning and muscle memory combined with good form. Find a decent bow and shoot it a lot. Practice, practice, practice and most anyone can master a compound.
