I really like thw bright orange throat patch.

The guy that bought the last of them last year..from MN..said they were much prettier bright fur than thw dull asked out ones he as used to seeing.

He loved their coloring.

He's saw this thread and already texted me saying he'd like to do business with Jerry again thia year..for the hwhole collection.

Apparently he gets them skinned or frozen soon after catching. I remember how quickly their bellys would turn green if their stomach was full. I ls was a foothold guy all of my serious marten trapping years. Conibear kills quickly so stomach contents remain inside.

Yall please bear with me. The last couple.of days have been hectic..

Boss..my little dog...had to have emergency surgery yesterday morning and I havent been online.

I have some pics to post and I am also going to reread the threads from the first post and I will answer each of yalls questions because yalls questions are important.

I'm sorry I wasn't ignoring yalls questions and comments.

These are a few pics he's sent.

I'll get his total catch number this evening.

He may not meet the goal of 100 in 12 checks I set for him but he's doing his best.

His usually catch for the whole time hes out there is 50 to 70 so i may have set th bar a little too high but if the weather gets em.moving..

it's still doable before he comes home.

He has 110 marten sets out and there's a front getting ready to move through with lower Temps and aome snow and that could really get them.moving.

(This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) stay out there until Nov 1st if weather permits.

The second marten pic looks gorgeous. Looks like total bib bling, with the orange extending all down his belly. Please have close up pics taken of them all when they're back in the shed, and also skinned out, especially this one !

Seriously. I want him. Soft and tanned .

He said to let you know they will nest inside each other. He can get 120 in a 100 pound feed sack.they take up alot less space than boxes.

He said if anyone tries them.to.make sure that ya tie a wire through the handle if you dont it will top up.

He also holds the bait in by running a wire out the cap whole and anchoring it .

He puts his triggers on top facing In.

That way by the time they get to the bait alot more of the animal is committed to the trap and his chances of a successful catch are..in his opinion higher.

He has alot of suitcase catches and he's convinced that some of them are spooked and jump backwards when encountering the triggers and that because they're so far committed to the trap before they encounter the trigger that he catches some he'd otherwise miss if his triggers pointed outward.

He skins them every night for that reason but he sid its been in the teens the last couple.nights so they're about half froze when he catches them

Nessie..he will stay till.the weather as.long as the snow is manageable or till Nov 1st

Whether he hits100 or not.

The best he's done is 70 but I'm confident if the weather breaks he can make 100 before he quits.

And that if he doesn't make it its not for lack of trying..

hes went at it 110% .

Sharon i thnk he said he'd never caught one that orange before and he was getting it tanned and keeping it himself.

He's getting the spotted skunk tanned and keeping it as well.

He does that with certain hides that are either unique..or have a special memory attached to them
