Have you tried Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN? I'm told you don't need a referral to get someone to see you there anymore. I saw a neurologist there years ago. That was the only place that was able to help me. Our local neurologists had pretty much given up on me. I felt hopeless with a spinal cord injury. Now, I'm nearly pain free. From my own experience, I'm quite certain Mayo will be able to help you. Don't give up!

I’m still here guys,, I talked at length this morning on the phone with a fellow t man family member here whom I shall not say… but I tremendously thank, for taking the time to listen and talk with me.although I’m still unsure 100 percent about somethings,,,, he was able to calm me down. I was able to sleep for a few hours,,,, I just woke up to get a drink of water,,, and I am going to try to go back to sleep.

If dr finds out you are publicly talking about killing yourself they will treat the depression before the spine. I went thru 2 physic evals before they did mine. Lot of people have the same feelings you are is why the evals are required. I was positive and looking forward to POSSIBLY getting some relief. My father told me growing up that "as long as you keep doing the same thing you will always have the same result" No surgery is not an option unless you want to continue in pain. One lady I know went to our congress mans office. They FAST TRACKED her medicare and now she is doing well Chin up and do what I have done my entire life. When I lost my right thumb at work I was bummed until I went to hand surgeons office. The guy across the room didn't even have either hand. Same with the back. You don't have to look far to see someone in worst shape than yourself !!! .....

I would sure get another opinion if you haven’t. Not all doctors have the same level of experience! There might just be a miracle out there, you never know.

If your concerned about the surgery, it's not bad at all. I've had 3 cervical fusions and to be honest, my appendectomy was worse. Just an overnight stay normally. I have a $2600 cervical brace I will give you and I'll pay for the shipping. Only wore it until I left the hospital. Financially, there are all sorts of avenues available to you. Keep a positive outlook, although you have a right to be concerned. You will be amazed how much better your quality of life will be.

I sure found that out when I went to Mayo Clinic.

Stay strong man, but I wouldn't say stuff about suicide. Even though I feel that it's a person's decision whether they want to live or not there are plenty of people who may report the fact you mentioned suicide and your life could easily get worse. I hope things get better ,I will pray for you.

Hay man I was in a similar head space for the last two years , your not alone in this at all, look how many people care about you. Having having these though dosent make you weak or anything,but you need to get some help brother. And in situations like this theres no shame in trying to get in aom kind of government help. Seriously it's what it's there for . My PM box is always open if you need some to talk to who's had similar thoughts .
