I got a buck!!! Its a small 8 but its my first deer!!! It was about 25-30 yards away and ran 20-25 yards and crashed into a big tangle of thorns. Also how do you get it cleaned up to mount it?

Congratulations first deer and a buck can't beat that. Once again if you were close I would help you with learning how to get it taken care of.

Congratulations of your first deer! That is fantastic. I would strongly suggest a European mount. Less than $100 and it won't look like "pooh" in 10 years like many mounts do. Save the shoulder mount for that once in a lifetime buck.

Thank you. Those are all "scrub bucks" and Mr. Mark Melby does GREAT work and VERY reasonable. I will never get another shoulder mount ever again, only Mark's European mounts.

Excellent deal. A deer is a trophy no matter what the size. Are you talking skull plate mount, European mount like above, shoulder mount(taxidermist)?

Hes 11. IF your parents can afford it Mount it. There will never be another first buck . Plus it IS HIS buck of a lifetime !!!
