Our local meat market had wings on sale again. Buck a pound. We bought 80 pounds . Vacuum sealed 50lbs and smoked 30lbs(about 200) this morning. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2022/11/full-7321-156098-img_20221106_28511.jpg)

Cost more than steak here! Normal price here is about the same as beef. Restaurants are a buck a wing or more. So 200$ for 30$ worth of wings is a good deal.

When we raised mink up until 1986 I could and did buy tractor trailer loads of frozen chicken wings for a penny a pound delivered to our freezer. Legs were 2 cents a pound, That sound very cheap. But when I got my drivers license in 96 gas was 89c per gallon. I wonder rhow inflation would adjust that price on chicken? An boy thats a lot of chicken

I added some "slap ya momma " to this batch. My wife said next time she has some wings she is going to put on some chapstick. A bit spicy for her (more for me).

When we raised mink up until 1986 I could and did buy tractor trailer loads of frozen chicken wings for a penny a pound delivered to our freezer. Legs were 2 cents a pound, I remember when wings were thought of as junk . Waste of time to cook and eat. Then came Buffalo wings , and the price just keeps going up. Funny thing is that they get two Buffalo wings per wing. One large and one small , same price.
