This urban vote problem plagues the entire country and one of the few solutions I can think of to fix it is for someone with a conservative bent to start buying up TV stations and local papers. There are only 3 local TV stations where I live (ABC, NBC and CBS) and local news presented on all three of those is so far to the left it would make State Run TV in commie countries blush with envy. Between local TV and local papers, population of these urban zones are being flooded with left wing.......and only left wing......propaganda.

Spot on HayDay, until we can bridge that enormous obstacle,we're destined for failure.
Number one issue in my opinion.

He's our family doctor so we think highly of him. Clearly the rest of the state didn't. I'm not sure any republican will be the governor of this state again in my lifetime

Bob I meant no offense the opposite actually. To be a politician these days you have to be half snake oil salesman. Your doctor is not that.

Mn was a purple state until Somalia moved here. We had liberal conservatives and conservative liberals, it wasn't ideal but it was politically bearable and we had a chance at sending a one R senator to DC, now it's blue with little chance of redemption.

Mn has always been a solhd blue state. The vikings are still purple.
