But Auburn is literally second from last in the SEC this year so that doesn't say too much... this season. Other years an Auburn win would be something to crow about, this year not so much.
I think Penn St might have a real good year next year Nittany and I hope for your sake that they do.
Bet would be that IF GA plays either OH ST or MICH in the championship... GA wins. But we can wait until it's closer. I don't know what happened to my reply, I will try to reconstruct it. I never said Auburn was a power house this year. I simply said they were a common foe for both Georgia and Penn State. I heard a number of times how tough it is to play at Auburn and Penn State did play at Auburn and almost beat them by as much as Georgia did when Georgia played them at home. Surly you can see my point. If Ohio State plays Georgia I will be game for a bet.

Georgia knew exactly what it would take to beat Auburn, and did just enough to get the win.
Penn St. didn't really know what they were getting into, and beat a weak Auburn team.....Penn St. lucked out to play them when they did at home.
If it were say the National Championship Penn State's win spread would not be comparable to a Georgia win spread.
Surely you can see my point.

I'm interested to see if Bama can beat Auburn this year, lol. Auburn sucks, but so does Bama, and Auburn plays their heart out at the Iron Bowl.

That’s the thing about these home state rivals…anything can happen. One team is too cocky and the other has nothing to lose.

You are right about one thing KY, Auburn was lucky to play Penn State when they did. Penn State is a much better team now then they were back in September

Yes, if Georgia played in the Big 10 East they would have 3 L's. There's not 3 teams in the entire nation that could beat GA right now. The Big 10 east ain't got crap. Penn St is like 1-15 against top 15 teams, and OSU and Michigan have played Div II schedules up to this point. It'll be a repeat of last year. One of them will get paired up against Georgia and get dragged. Again.

Why are you folks so impressed with Georgia? Their only impressive win was against Oregon. They only beat a 4 and 7 Kent State team by 17 points, they squeaked by a 5 and 6 Missouri by 4 points, and only beat a 6 and 5 Kentucky team by 10 points. I know, they beat Tennessee by 14 points but a 4 loss South Carolina team destroyed the Volunteers. List up the quality, emphasis on QUALITY, wins of OSU, MICH, and PSU. OSU and Mich are being based off of what, beating PSU? That's like beating the special needs kid. Compare schedule strengths. There's zero comparison. Georgia's will remain number 1 until someone beats them. It's that simple.

Where do you get it is a no? I don't know who is playing who so how can we form a bet at this point in time.
KY/Coyote, Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State to name 3. How much you wanting to put on that? Penn St won't get a chance so they're out. GA has the defense to match up with either OSU or Michigan. Michigan ain't gonna beat anyone if their running game gets stopped, that was proven by Illinois last weekend. GA has the secondary to shut down OSU's passing game. Tennessee has receivers as good or better than OSU and GA put 5 stars on them and shut them down. I believe you don't actually watch any football outside of the Big10 footprint.

Apparently you don't know much about Penn State. They have a very young team that is starting to jell. For the past 3 games 4 starters have not played of which 2 of them are arguably their best two players, their replacements for the most part are freshmen getting lots of experience. Not making injury excuses because Penn State has won those 3 games by lopsided scores. They know how to play defense which is something the SEC teams don't seem to know much about. You my friend are the one that should not be fooled. I hope I live long enough to see this Penn State team play at least another season. Their starting QB is like 40 lol. Hardly young. How did their defense do against Michigan? PSU is 23rd in total defense. When Missouri played Tennessee they were 13th in total defense, Tennessee knocked them down to 31st. GA is 5th. Michigan is currently 1st, but have played one of the weakest schedules in the country. We'll see which team gets exposed this weekend between OSU-MICH.

The quarterback is a sore spot with me. They have a freshman quarterback that I wish would be starting. The defense has come on big time since the Michigan game. It took some time for the first year defensive coordinator to make an impact.

I don't really care that much who wins the national championship. Who get into the playoffs is just a popularity contest anyway.
But, undefeated Michigan and OSU meeting to play for the Big10 championship is a much anticipated game.
National championships are to sell TV commercials. In college football, it's the conference championships, bowl games, and traditional rivalries that are all the fun.
