So it’s a beautiful blue bird day in SWGA. About 70 degrees and breezy. My son has been wanting to take his wife and daughter hunting and he just happened to have the day off from quail hunting.
Now Ellie Jane is only 16 months but knows what deer are.
Well they climb up in a double ladder stand and the goal is for her to point out the first deer she sees for Daddy to shoot. After a 15-20 minute sit a young doe steps out and Ellie yells “Deer” and points, lol. So Daddy does what Daddy’s do and he shot the deer! It didn’t matter if it had spots or was a 200” buck, it was whichever deer she saw and pointed to!
All three were happy! Think we have a future huntress!

Good stuff! I have a 7 year old daughter and she goes hunting with me every chance she can! Sure makes it a lot of fun

You know dang good and well a Southern momma ain’t gonna let her baby be photographed with ear muffs or orange, lol. He said we couldn’t figure out why she was talking so loud, then they figured out is was the ear muffs! When they pulled in to show Granny and Papa, she was all excited to show us. She’ll grow up like CJ and have prime land to hunt…hopefully.

Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than a story like this. Maybe it's time for a kidse in the outdoors thread.

Thanks for sharing.
