Worked for the local fur buyer many years..he was the last buyer in the county. All the years and the stories go by to fast....in 2019 we wear getting read for a good season.......he was a dog trader sold gog food or trade....all kinds of hunting light ..and always a good time....but he got the covid bug and passed......sure not the same for me he was like a dad to me many years........

Well, if we get to pick and choose how far to go back..... I'll opt for 45 years. Want to hit that fur boom just as it was gaining momentum with the knowledge and skills I possess today. Sure wouldn't have wasted those years going to college!

That would be an excellent choice .I was trying to be a trapper where that started to take place .Yes and only if I had my act together it would have been more fun and profitable .

Always took out old timers in the marsh duck hunting. The stories they told were priceless. At the end of the day we always -"we had a wee dram" for those that passed before us.

Now that I'm at that age as they were...sure wished I wrote down their excuses for not shooting.
