I personally dont like captain heindsight type folks trust me we wonder what we could have done diffrently to Nor do i like sales pitches if your wualification is complaining after the fact On the web im sure betos csmpaighn staff is hireing

if you actually were involved in the fight we must have missed you i wonder why you didnt give us your brilliant insight then?

As far as your "help" you are "offering" i think i would get better results from coyote crap on a legislators desk then some wanna be politition pumping his chest long after the ban passed. Your time to shine was january year before last. You are allready late.

Im not speaking for the nmta here just myself a person who makes a liveing trapping im good with critisisim but when someone decides they can do better id rather watch them prove it.

If you want to be a leader then lead And lets see some results if you get good results and are not just a buncha hot air and bs ill help you
but if you want to complain and play armchair lobbiest and political guru.
I got s bag of baculums you can eat

Yep, coming from a actual NM trapper. So MattLA, why don't you not only answer my questions but give a solid to the real NM trappers??? Enlighten us all with why you recommend they take you up on your offer to save them?

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Its the cockroachs. Big D animal rights, pot smoking hippies. Most coming from CA. Starting to get them here now. Just like cockroachs they slip in unnoticed then multiply exponentially then turn their new habitat into a clone of their old habitat. next a few leave and slip unnoticed into a new local....

Haven't gotten CA back, AZ back, Co back, WA back.

I think there will be civil war sometime in the next couple decades

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

The NTA, FTA and several other national organizations are aiding the New Mexico trappers Association in a lawsuit to get this law voided. In a nutshell ( and I'm Paraphrasing) the law says that they are only outlawing trapping on public land for "safety" reasons. The problem for trappers is that most of NM is state or federally owned land. The ramifications of this across the rest of the country are huge. Here in Pennsylvania alone we've got State forests, State Parks and most disconcerting, State Game Lands. The State Game Lands were bought with hunting license fees and some Pittman-Robertson money. These are millions of acres of "public' Land that the antis' could try to get this same kind of law passed.
Does anybody believe that after the antis' get trapping outlawed, for the so-called safety reasons, that they won't go after hunting on public land under those same "safety" reasons? The laws is this country are made by legislators who if they aren't city dwellers, are beholden to city dwellers who don't have a clue about what hunting and trapping really entail.
The decision to go on the offensive against this law, as it was explained to me, was made with the idea that fighting a defensive battle, you're still going to lose a little bit. Each time you lose a little bit, you've still lost. Rather than be defensive, with almost the same expenses, the decision has been made to go on the offensive. You have to applaud the idea that the antis' are going to have to justify their actions with statistics and studies just like they've made the pro trapping/hunting communities come up with over the years.
However, as we all know lawsuits are expensive, now is the time to step up and aid this effort. Join the New Mexico Trappers Association. If you don't want to do that, go to their website and find out how to donate money to the lawsuit fund. If you're not a trapper just remember that after they get the trappers, they're going to be coming for the hunters.

Thin out the city dwellers, seems like a simple solution.

You citizens in NM that trap are missing out on a huge opportunity to stick it to the woke tree huggers that are ruining your traditions. All you need to do is simply “identify” as Native. I would love to see one of the bureaucrats try and shut you down based on how you feel. This may be an angle to look into!! Give it some thought.
