Congrats. I also caught my first mink and my first otter the same season, although my first mink was not as big as yours. I can tell just by looking at that tail.

I will say that, for the otter, use a very aggressive belly board. In fact, definitely look up some good videos on how to properly flesh/board an otter before you put it up because there are a few differences between them and a lot of others. I came very close to having to break my board in order to get the otter off, I can't believe how much it shrunk when it dried. Luckily I got it off without damaging the hide but it was a lot of unnecessary work that could have been avoided with a more aggressive belly board, or even a split board, which is probably how I'll do them from now on. I've only ever caught the one (it was a bycatch) but now I'm hooked. It's probably my favorite single animal I've ever trapped.

Congratulations that's a nice mink no matter how it's caught. I like the smell.

Used to skin them in mom and dads basement as a kid cut the gland a few times stunk up the house but mom never said a word but I am sure it teed her off lol
