We were kids during that time and green coons brought $25+ Greys brought $45+ and bobcats brought in $75+
All these were green, and we were 12yrs old collecting $1000+ checks every two weeks spilt between my buddy and I. Our parents were ready to quit their jobs and trap, lol. All this was done with 12 Victor 1.5’s. We’d run the line before school and skin afterwards. We started using bicycles, then my buddy got a Honda 250 dirt bike, we thought we were big time running traps on a dirt bike, lol. These were SW Georgia critters too. I’m sure the Northern and Western fur brought in a lot more.

I received $1.25 nose count for rats in 1965 when I started trapping. Would need $10.83/rat today to keep up with inflation. Sad, rats today at $2/average if you are lucky.
