That's some good fishing. What are they hitting in that cold water? Lucky craft pointers. Last night was more the deep pointers, but usually the pointer 128. Some days they are in the shallow weed, and some days deeper. with the water surface temp colder than down below, they were deeper last night where they will stay for winter.

Didn't that walleye get tired of having it's picture taken so many times? Beautiful fish, man! Good job. It had to be an awesome experience with so many nice fish caught. How do you keep your hands warm under those conditions? At my age I have a hard time no matter what I do when it gets that cold.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

How do you keep your hands warm under those conditions? At my age I have a hard time no matter what I do when it gets that cold. Heavy insulated work gloves. Easy off to unhook fish, quick to put back on. I use the same method for trapping, but I bring multiple pairs for when one wets out. Off for setting triggers and fine work, quick back on. I have never suffered from cold hands, but with the tiller on my boat I am going to be installing a heated grip like on a snowmobile. Because my arm is up on the tiller all the time, there is a bit less blood flow, and driving in the wind is a bit colder for that hand.

You did it again, I am jealous!!!!!! Great catches, the only time I get so many walleyes is in the Canada trips that we take and most are not near that size. A few, very few are over 25 inches......jk

Have you instructed the misses to sell off some of those cook books so she can get you some fishing gear for Christmas?

At 39* the water has a different density and that really bothers the fish 1K in inches now lets see how many eaters @ 18inches that would take or Mark would want to know...how much oil...to bring The answer is a lot. Of both lol. There is a slot limit here. You have to release the 16 to 22" fish. You know, the nice eaters...because the biologists don't know a burro from a burrow and think that either could be an orifice in their backside. So we try and catch a 22 1/2" for dinner. Or under 16", but whats the point?

What's the daily limit of walleye?
It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.
