Yezzum, Angela, Diva showed up last early summer and stayed here ever since. She had the two blackies , and they found they’re fairly safe here. She is from somewhere near here, obviously, but I don’t know where. She is quite wild, with all the reactions of a wild rabbit, except with me. I began feeding her and soon was able to touch , then rough up all that plush fur along her back after a while. Now they almost get underfoot wanting a treat, and I pet them, ruffle their ears and have fun while they eat. But any abrupt sound, or warning bird call sends them scurrying to shelter. They can run very fast. Diva has a couple dens under two of my white fur and spruce trees. They also stay in my woodshed during this cold spell.
Yes they are from domestic stock from someplace down the road . They do as they please and have to watch out for a possible predator too. Though if I’m here and see something on the place after them I’ll shoot it straight away.
They have been fun for me, with no work or cages. Just food.
My excuse for enjoying them is that I have a meat source readily available if I ever need it .

T5, I hope your calves will be fine , it is the age old story of ranchers, they stay up at all hours to help their cattle in bad weather.
I hear creaks at times in my cabin as it adjusts to the temperature drop. All blinds and curtains drawn tight to conserve wood heat. I’m not even gonna look at the thermometer on the porch …everyone have a warm safe evening.
