Avoid wood mulches though as wood eats up nitrogen to decompose. Once decomposed though a good source of humus.

Warrior has a lot of good advice. Sometimes poultry litter has lime mixed in with it.

Soil test are freezing NC during off season months. How else do you know if, or how much lime you need. Lime is very slow. Takes several years in some soils.

There is a max amount you should apply with out turning it into the soil.

Lime will definitely help, sometimes it takes a year to see the effects. If you want instant noticeable results, Gypsum.


Just the right amount of whelm.
