Water in the kitchen now! . It was the closet that the pex runs through the line were like ice!! . I also found heat tap so I was wrapping it around, but the hole was to small so I made it bigger so the end of the tape could go inside and the water came on.

Is it pex or polybutalane? What color is it?

We have red and blue colored pex but the red is the one that split.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

This new PEX isn't the same as the older stuff. The old stuff would take several freezing before it would fail. Down side was if froze would swell enough couldn't get a new crush ring onto it.

That's good news. Now you know where to look the next time. Those little holes will do it every time. Don't ask how I know !

Yep. Also the crush rings would expand but not go back to original size once the ice thawed. So there would be leaks at the rings.

Pex is also vulnerable to oxidation on the outside and erosion on the inside from chlorine.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
