Guss OP trapper G Joined: Apr 2022 Wisconsin	Water in the kitchen now! . It was the closet that the pex runs through the line were like ice!! . I also found heat tap so I was wrapping it around,but the hole was to small so I made it bigger so the end of the tape could go inside and the water came on.

Down side was if froze would swell enough couldn't get a new crush ring onto it. Some individuals use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts — for support rather than for illumination. Also the crush rings would expand but not go back to original size once the ice thawed. So there would be leaks at the rings. Pex is also vulnerable to oxidation on the outside and erosion on the inside from chlorine. Mean As Nails
