And when they step across the line to Manitoba we’re allowed 1 wolf with a general deer tag (wether it’s filled or not) or as many as you want with a trappers license. They'll be right up after they wipe all the deer out down here!!!

2 things wrong with the wolf plan?
9 Minnesota trappers associations?
Only should be allowed to trap them?
Either you are very naive or just plain ole obtuse.
Doesn't matter what is right or wrong with the plan, it's mute. They are on the endangered species list and even if they are delisted there won't be a season with the current political climate in MN. Spot on, lines 1-4, but it does matter what is right or wrong with the plan. The states have hidden behind the endangered species status to avoid their management responsibility long enough. They could be making a much stronger case for delisting in their planning documents, but are quite content with status quo.

Of course they could but the reality is the current administration won't. We are stuck with nobalz for 4 more years.
My original comment was directed at Matt, not Osky.
160, I guess it comes down to a simple choice. Get busy living or get busy dying. . It's almost time to move to Zihuatanejo. Or at least one of the Dakotas

I get it that this Governor will never allow a wolf season, but he didn't write the plan. Credible biologists could of at least provided all of the sound biological rational for a well managed harvest season. It's a 10 year plan, and we can only hope the next Governor actually believes in "following the science" rather than just blathering about it.

I hear ya walleye. The governor may have not written the plan but he and his cronies picked the people on the round table and the people who eventually put the plan together work at his pleasure.
Anyhow, at the end of the day, I'm not concerned as much as I should be about the wolves, what is really concerning to me is if we will be able to snare and set BGs on land by this time next year or the following year. It's not good. Hopefully Matt can send enough emails

It's like climate change, enough people say it often enough and eventually it's true. This is exactly what trappers all across the country are dealing with. Liars, one and all!

My concerns are not so much about wolf management, as the path DNR is heading down. The wolf management plan is just the most recent glaring example.
