Today a friend came across a fisher head, with some skin attached, along the Aroostook River. Otter have been feeding on it. The BIG question is what killed the fisher? Thought otter just ate fish? He hung a trail camera.

Otters also eat muskrats and rabbits

I watched an otter grab a Jack Russel and take him under water. Unfortunately, the otter let him go.

Our otters here kill and eat beavers, ducks, diving birds, and I have caught them in the act a few times eating both marten and mink out of my traps..

Otters are water wolves. As has been said, they eat a lot more than fish.

I once watched a family of otters attack and kill a deer swimming across a lake, was it EJ Daily that said if otters were the size of bears he wouldn’t go into the woods

Have also seen them kill swans and geese, they come up underneath them and grab them from the underneath and pull them down

If you are able to get the pictures if any, post them. Would not be surprised if a Lynx or otter killed it.
