It’s been colder here and surly we had more snow in the past, a lot more snow it’s just hype. They cover their rears with statements like extreme heat and cold are the signs of climate change they can’t lose. When we were getting hammered the MSM focused way more on what the East coast was going to get because it impacted more of their believers.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

He explained that statement didn't mean there would be such a storm every 100 years, that that is what had been calculated and the worst in a hundred years had been such. He said, you could have such a storm every year for 5 years and such a storm was not relegated to only happening every 100 years.

I think I explained that correctly. Now we can get ready for a 100 year flood. (Tongue in cheek)

Garry-

Pretty much. They're freak events. Closest thing I have seen is the flood several years ago when half of WV got washed away. Anyone that lives in low lying areas are probably familiar with the various floodplain maps if they're forced to by flood insurance or tried to build anywhere near a creek .

I archery hunted in a W VA county that was hit with devastating floods in the Election Day flood of 1985 . It was localized to about 3 counties only .But to those 3 counties it was a storm of a lifetime .When a heavy rain cloud can not push it's way over those steep sided mountains the deep valleys funnel the water downstream in a fast rising way .Before you even have time to think about it you are powerless to react .Even now if you know what it was like before the flood happen you can see how much rock and dirt was removed by the raging water

My family lives north of Niagara Falls, on the lake. They were without power for only 2 days, luckily... it came back on on Christmas day.

All I can say is that I am so proud of all of the hard work that the conscientious Climate people have done this century to curb the disastrous increase of global warming. Their goal has been to prevent it from rising more than 1.5 degrees C.
Mission accomplished! And it only took one Winter Storm of The Century to accomplish it! Kudos to those fine people.
They have single handedly saved the planet so much so that we can now burn all of the fossil fuels that we need to restore the World's economy.
Ole Joe knew this would happen all along. He is deserving of a nomination for a Nobel Prize for his diligence and forethought!
