I'm glad people share their catch numbers and I am able to have discussions and debates with some pretty darn good trappers.

FWIW rumor has the the Finnlander is doing a beaver demo at Schmitt's Open House. More than worth the price of admission and the drive up or down there.

I suspect you are correct. No one wants to work the amount of hours I have been, especially me. Its typically the end results people get jealous or envious of. It show in common statements like if I had their money, they got lucky, or they own a business. They just think success happens and not becuse of hard work, long hours, taking risk, and failing a lot and yes some luck. Before things finally came together.

I want to guess that as many or more people have done 1,000 raccoon in a week, than have done 50+ otter in two weeks. What Paul was specifically talking about was two guys that drove half way across the US and trapped an area they had never been to…and I would guess very few people have done that…or had as much fun doing it! I wish the posts were still around from that adventure.

Areas with big raccoon populations have many more trappers to make it happen. Most of the area with unlimited otter have fewer trappers around.

Ok, well I do agree with that. Lazy people hate successful people.

Far better off not to disclose your catch numbers to anyone. Just get a bunch of backstabbing. Even from, and maybe even especially from, your "friends".

No truer words were ever spoken!!!!!!!!!!!! Learned that in 1973! My ex wife never knew what I caught! In 30 some years.
