The apps that step tracks without a phone use the accelerometer built in track your steps. Lots of ways to cheat them

one of my customers wears a fitbit and thinks that he walks 3-4 miles a day in/around his house....that ain't true. I have suunto watches which can pair with a chest strap to show my heart rate and have gps for direction/tracking. It is very accurate.

I think the best for tracking movement and heart rate are Garmin but they are higher priced.

Some of these watches are programed to tell you what you want to hear, how great you slept and etc.

Guy needs move his recliner closer to the toilet or the refrigerator if true, or he's a chronic pacer

It is not true. He is active but he ain't walking anywhere near one mile let alone multiple miles.

Fake security, our proven old methods are superior,
Guess you guys never heard bout the guy that wentto the restroom and came out five minutes later and his Fitbit said he walked 10 miles.lol
