Why the petty response?
The guy obviously lives in a well populated, well managed, well genetics deer area. He has put untold hours learning, studying and pursuing trophy deer. He is not here thumping his chest, J… was good enough to post his really neat trophy room.
What makes this exceptional deer hunter any different than the exceptional trappers and their incredible catches on this forum? Why is it different than a fisherman who excels, hunters of other game species who do well. Some pour themselves into it, some not so much.
I’d be proud to shake the guys hand.

You been drinking again jb? That’s a great deer that guy has mounted in the first pic, but I am pretty skeptical of 215 typical. Maybe the angle you took the picture but I see a main frame 9 pointer with several non typical points. He doesn’t appear to have great mass or width to add greatly to the overall score. From looking at the picture angle he ain’t much wider than his ears and would guess him at 19 inches inside. Like I said it may be the angle of the picture but after deductions I’m guessing 190 ish. Big difference in gross and finished score.
The one hanging on the wall would come closer to 215 just looking at the pictures. Both of them are very nice deer.

Does the missus Savell know you been hanging around that back porch?
