I can or jar fish in pint jars. Not a lot of it but some. I can fillets, no bones. Most of what I catch gets frozen in vacuum bags. The fish I can I add one egg for each jar when I prepare it. Add in some crumbled up real fine saltine crackers. Stir it up good then make it into pattys and fry it. Pretty good fixed like that.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Yeah we do the same with vacuum bags, they sure come in handy. Just about all of the fish we give to my mother-in-law to jar are partially smoked strips. I haven’t seen many people up here jar fillets, but your recipe is definitely one I gotta try. Just took a screen grab on my phone for later this summer, thanks.

Wow! That’s awesome! Great fish, I grew up eating pike every summer and the first time I tried halibut I remember thinking it tasted like dry pike. Haha
