In Arkansas. It doesn't get cold, just chilly.

My wife's been wearing Muk Luks by Stegers for about 5 years now and loves them.

Stationed at LRAFB for 2.5 yrs, it get's cold in Arkansas.

Guys' snow boots. I never wear women's' gear for anything important in the outdoors. Men's gear is almost always superior. I have an old (20+ years) pair of LaCrosse Ice King Plus boots for ice fishing. I have to get the smallest boots in men's sizes or largest in boys' sizes. They're big and my feet can have a party in them but all the better for warmth!

I thought in Arkansas they were barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen?

Seriously though, how chilly does it get in Arkansas?

It was -2 a couple weeks ago.

My wife like Patrice does not wear woman's shoes or boots. We live in Montana. She wears insulated hiking boots in the winter. She purchased a new pair this season. They were Danner's. She is very pleased with them. In the summer she wears a look cut hiking type shoe. Both have an aggressive tread. It depends on the terrain and weather you have.

My wife wears Stieger muc luks for run around. For work or chores she wears mens hunting,La Cross icemen or a rubber knee boot.

I like my Crispi boots. They are casual wear, with good tread , but with a pair of Darn Tuff padded socks, they are good protection for semi cool parts of the year.

When it gets real cold, I break out true shearling boots, knee high , slick leather lowers that I can oil to water resistant. They are the warmest , wind cutting boots , even down to -30 . I have stood out at night on -20 nights enjoying the northern lights, not moving much, and I was fine.

I also have a pair of men's insulated felt lined tall boots , rubber lowers , that are very effective in deep snow and cold.

My wife wears Sorels.

This question reminds me of a skit performed by Goldie Hawn and Dick Martin in about 1969 on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in.
Anybody else remember the skit?

They last forever.

I live in the south and we don't usually get snow. I wear a pair of lightly insulated hiking/hunting boots. When I lived in NY with deep snow all winter, I wore Sorrel's.

I've tried all sorts of things, and I find I always end up going back to my Lacrosse boots.. I pretty much wear them year round anymore for whatever... hunting, trapping, scouting, moving snow, yard work etc.
