Wow, that church sounds too big for my tastes.
Just curious when the last time was you personally visited with the pastor for more than ten minutes; coffee, lunch, fishing, sauna, etc.?
I'm not making any judgments, just wondering how a church that size work.

Our church has a security team and many of us are armed. One of the ladies of the church has a husband that is state patrol and gave a free CCW course after the Texas church shooting.

No radios but weve got security cameras all over the place.

I always do concealed.

My new car has a button for pretty much everything. Even has one that says rear wiper. Still too afraid to try that one.

it isn't just churches

I have a Muslim co-worker he had a little gun experience so about 2012 when the Sikh temple shooting happened just south of Milwaukee in Oak creek they were a bit concerned also.

they set up a somewhat informal security team , had to train up some of their guys not many of them were familiar with guns so they got some training I think it eventually became a more formal volunteer security team.

You guys have better odds of dying driving to church. I hope you put your seat belts on.

I conceal carry when I have clothes on. Church requires me to wear clothes. So yes.

Seat belts can Make you holster dig in and the state tell you you have to. Can't do that becuse freedom man. wink

Wearing his seat belt killed my old scout leader . He rolled his van on ice and hung in his seat belt so long it killed him. I know mine has saved my life at least once when a guy pulled out and hit me and that pushed me at an ange and head on into a red oak at 55mph.

Of course if he didn't have his seat belt on he probably would have been ejected and killed. I really like my odds of survival with a seat belt on.
Regarding odds of being murdered while in church versus while driving to church. I arm myself more in the interest of saving others.

Bearing arms is a Constitutional right.
Operating a motor vehicle is a privilege not a right.

If you fly through your windshield and sustain half a million dollars in medical expenses, that raises my insurance rates. I don't want to pay for another person's medical bills due to their poor choices.

Absolutely and at the majority of churches.
I know a lot of people who do, numerous churches with staff and volunteers who carry. I've helped train and find various trainings with church staff and volunteers.

Where is it written that anyone has a right to medical care? That's what driving your insurance rates not my personal freedom to not wear a seat belt.

Your logic would have me dictating what you can or cannot eat.

If properly concealed only place not to carry is when you have to go through a metal detector

Jstaton is that demicrat filled church all for marriage for same sex couples and abortion? Seems like thay would be and would only attend a church in line with their views. I believe that's why you were asked why you would be a member there.
