Going to pick up my trailer in Berea KY tomorrow. I lent it to someone and they can't bring it back so I have to go pick the thing up. I have never been in that neck of the woods. Is there anything that is worth a detour or worth a stop along the way from the Cumberland gap to there ??

Cumberland Falls (a little out of the way but worth the drive if you have not been there)

Scuba seems like you got the short end of the stick, loaning out a trailer and then having to cross state lines just to get it back

he just had heart surgery a bit unexpected. So its not their fault for not bringing it back. Its only 140 miles each way so no big issue. That and I have never been in that neck of the woods, so it will be something different

I just got home. In the spring that would be quite a nice scenic drive to do. Today in the gray drizzle not so much and i just went up and got the trailer. When I gave it to him a while back, the deck had a couple of holi in it and I wanted to fix it once I had it back .....buuuuuut
He put a completely new deck on it back to front out of treated pine. I had put new lights and safety chains etc on it before I lent it to him. All it needs now is a little bit of paint and it will be like a brand new trailer. He did not want any money for the lumber he used either. So its a belated Christmas present for me.
On top of that, he has about 240 pine trees of good size that need to come down and I can have as many as I want if I cut them down for him. He wants them gone because he wants the hardwood in that patch to get a better standing.
That will be a bunch of sawmill fodder once I have the thing finished.
