Whenever I was up that way there was a truckstop just north of 494 right before you got to the river. Was also a systems manager for a Dunn & Bradstreet company in eastern NC. Lived in Wilson NC. Had one child. Had a old Dodge100 that had once been owned by the forest service. It was geared very steep, probably 455. Top speed was about 60 mph. Had the slant six engine. Which I still had it. Those were some good days. We struggled but didn’t know any other way. Ate lots of venison and some quail. Thought I had it made. Was 36 years old Last edited by charles; 01/12/23 09:51 PM.

Rays was on the hill that was west of the St Croix about a mile. You maybe thinking about the Mississippi River crossing by South St. Paul on 494 ?

My brother in law lives across the river in Hudson, WI. Jim Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
