June 21st '82 my wife and I closed on our brand new house. The very next day, the 22nd, I was officialy layed off from the University of Rochester Lab for Laser Energetics. I couldn't even land an interview for a little over 2 years. I hunted, fished, trapped, and tended a pretty fair sized veggie garden. We never went hungry and paid all our bills on time. My wife was teaching at a Catholic school for handicaped kids getting lousy pay and we had a 9 month old daughter. When I finally landed a job at Eastman Kodak She Who Must Be Obeyed not so gently told me not to bring home any more ducks or geese. The rabbits, pheasants, grouse, and deer were ok though, and make the veggie garden somewhat smaller. A little side note. My boss at the time drove out to the rental we were in, very appoligetically handed me the pink slip and then rolled up his sleeves and helped us pack boxes and lug them out to the truck.

Was working at U S Gypsum and running a line along the Skunk River trying to stay ahead of the trap thieves.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
