I get those sometimes here, too. Here is one from this winter.

Ha maybe this location needed three sets. Caught two males, usually don’t find males of any species without females in the vicinity

But yeah my second set was a trap for the trap digger, not far enough away.

Lugnut, wouldn't be the first time for me that I made a double set for a specific critter myself!

Possibly hit by a car or another kind of accident prior to being caught.
