What broadhead do you use? I used the rage hyperdermic this year. Worked well. But, i will try Grim Reaper this year.
My shots are no more then 30 yards. Also, will be going to Black Eagle Executioners for shafts.

Ive used rage in the past, worked fine for one deer each and then the broadhead was beyond repair. Switched to grim reapers years ago, killed many deer, and have used most for multiple deer. At the price of broadheads these days, that matters to me. Couple friends use Nap Spitfires and like them also.

Fixed blades. Got tired of messing with the retainers on mechanicals

Slick Trick. So far so good. Not lost a one. Actually I cant remember one going over fifty yards. I only take good shots though. I know things can still happen with a good shot but I try to give myself the best chance of recovery by sticking to broadside or slightly quartering away.

X2 on knock off Rages. No shots past 35 yds or so and have had no issues.

Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping.
May I be half the man he was.

100 grain Spitfires. Fly true from my xbow and makes an easy trail to follow.

Went back to NAP Thunder heads. The blood trail on several deer we shot with slick tricks were very marginal at best for what the hits where.

This was my first season using a crossbow. Been all rifle and ML up to this point. Used Grim Reapers at the recommendation of the local sporting goods store. Killed 2 does at 40 yds, neither went more than 50 yds. Zero blood trail though, and that concerns me.

Started with rage but had trouble with them opening. Been using swacker and no problems on bear and deer.
