We had -40 windchills for several days in December. Today I am going to play golf it will be 50s here.
Up, down, ice, snow, then rain, then dry again and warm. Been interesting.
My son is a pitcher in college in Kansas, and has his first baseball game in 12 days somewhere in Texas.
It’s mid-January and I’m talking about playing golf today and baseball games in just over a week. Yep, weird for sure.

Say quarter inch of rain tomorrow but Thursday is 3 to 5 inches of snow in northwest Illinois. Has been an odd winter for sure.

I almost feel as if I should mow the lawn.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Above freezing here but more snow on the ground than we have had in years. If it makes a hard crust the deer are going to have a tough winter.

Average temps have been a little above normal, and precipitation has been below normal here.

Here it is not to crazy. It has been a fairly normal winter. Our sub zero temps and some thawing temps. Got snow early which shut down some trapping but I am just getting out to see if I can cable a few late coyote now.

We're still in the deep freeze and covered in the white stuff.

I've got a heifer I need to butcher but the dang temperature is going to hit 50 in 2 days. Looks like it should cool down late next week but still highs flirting with 40 every day. I much prefer solid cold and snow compared to this spring-like muddy weather.

This is the strangest winter weather I can remember. It has made it easier to keep footholds working though.

With so many down trees and limbs from that massive snowy ice superstorm a few weeks ago, I wonder though if deer will keep finding tops to be able to chew on

This spate of tornados we just had occurred on a day that hit 70° with a cold front coming in fast that dropped things into the 30s. My county got hit the worst in the state.

Pretty average weather for around here. Highs in the high 30s- low 40s, lows in the teens or 20s, rain/snow about once a week, some windy days.

I do not envy you guys that get the extreme weather. Worst thing we get is some dust storms and the heat in summer can be brutal. The main thing we worry about is drought. All them tornados and hurricanes and 6’ of snow sounds awful.

Went from below zero to the mid 50's now with adequate rain talking three days of rain this week but down here if you don't like the weather stick around a couple days it'll change.

Real winter here. We've got around a foot of snow on the ground and this is the part of CO that normally doesn't get snow. Spent the last 20years not getting snow, now every time there is a chance we get it. Heavy wet snow is really unusual here until march or April but thank goodness for the moisture as we have been in unrelenting drought for three years.

Seems to go in three year or so cycles in Minnesota. When young 74-76 central Minnesota didn’t get squar for snow. In the last ten years there was a period in my area of northern MN of about 3 years that nearly closed down snowmobile trails due to lack… The worst dust bowl years were 34-36 if I recall reading. Droughts, rains or otherwise seem to be around 3 year runs.
Maybe it’s just me.

Nobody chiming in from California? Seems like their prayers for an end to their drought may have been answered.
