Here's a fun fact (hint). Every single guess has been less than what the actual weight is. Not a single guess is over. Hurry up and get the proper weight. I gotta sell the darn thing before the market drops anymore.

^^^Close enough. I declare Kevin the winner. Not very much weight loss in these big filled up castors. Incidentally, I left that castor in the drying room for another 15 hours and it only dropped one more gram.

6%, wow, if you put twenty pounds of that in a mesh bag and set it on a scale how much liquid will be on the scale when you pick the bag up ? This particular castor was very solid, but not mineralized like some of those hard rock castors. Only a few drops of liquid came out when squeezed when it was fresh. However, if I were to put it in the freezer for a few days and take it out again it would need to be dried a little more and would lose additional weight. Also if I stick it in plastic with other castors it would re-hydrate and need to be further dried. This is kind of why I held the guessing game. I knew people were going to be shocked at how little weight is lost on the bigger filled castors. I also find it interesting that once the castor has glazed over in the first couple of days of drying it loses weight very slowly after that. But to directly answer your question Dean, with all of that castor pressing together there would be some liquid. But lately I have taken to squeezing out most of the liquid before I pull the castors out of the beaver to cut down on all of that. Less messy too when I'm pulling them.
