What was the problem Seth? I’ve been using cable for a few years and like it. If it pulls up a bit it’s a pain in the butt bedding traps on a remake but other than that I get along good with it. Curious why you didn’t like it. Thanks

Everything the left touches it destroys

I use chain. Cable wears and frays over time. Chain doesn't. This how I attach them to the anchor. Quick and easy. Do require a weld. Use a 20 penny, I think, to make them. They hold up.

Broke a few pulling them , got tired of the end sticking up in the way and had one fail and lost a trap. Chain just seemed a better option for me. The one that failed, I don't know if I hammered the annealed nut too tight or what happened. Just a frayed cable left sticking up at the set. I have broke a couple chains pulling in frozen ground but the chain is much stronger than the cable.

If the auger interferes with the chain, just hit the reverse button.

If you dip your anchors while waxing traps you'll find they last a lot longer.
