Up checking marten track just above 4,000 ft elevation and came across these tracks I know they’re not lion or bear but my guess is Wolverine. What do you northern guys think ?

It's pretty amazing that wolverine are showing up all over Washington in the past couple of years, even down on the coast where the Columbia dumps into the Pacific. They have pictures of one eating on dead seals out on the ocean beach. I found tracks of one, most likely a female, quite a ways from where Jake took the pictures of these tracks.

That would be something to see one on the beach eating anything much less a seal. Like that caribou that wondered down to CO a few years back.

I know a couple guys who caught one with hounds out of Packwood forty years ago. They've always been great travelers and wanderers, so they show up in all sorts of places, occasionally.

One was killed in the Yakima River Canyon a while back. Hit by a car.

That's sagebrush country.

Give an illegal alien a fish and he eats for a day. Deport him and you never have to feed him ever again!
