Never have targeted them. What's your go to? I'm thinking about making some coni boxes and using 150 super x's. Any advise is appreciated

I like DPs with cat food coated with bacon grease. Some good info can be gleaned from the ADC forum

I love trapping skunks! Depending upon the situation, I'll use live traps, DP's or BG's.

I'm guessing you guys are using push pull dog proofs? I was thinking the Conibears so I wouldn't have to deal with hauling around a pole.

Being as a neighbor had some 6 inch aluminum irrigation pipe he wanted gone used it to make some no spray. Price was right (free) just took time and a little elbow grease to put them together.no fuss no smell no worry about rust and easy dispatch.

Cages preserve the whole skunk I have markets for everything to do with them, foot traps of any kind or conis would end up costing me money.

Nope just the pull type. They are easily caught in pull only DPs and dispatch is easy due to the fact they will back to the end of the chain, and always being front foot caught, their squirter is always pointed away.

Also always remember, never say "never" or "always" whistle

Sweet and fishy works great for skunks.

They spray 99.999% of the time in a bodigrip trap.

I use double door Spray proof 6" pvc traps

I disagree. It depends on the size of the body grip and where they're caught. This year of the 30+ skunks I caught in 155 body grips, I had 4 that sprayed. The rest may have lost a drop or two of essence but I still averaged .65 oz of essence from each skunk. Some will claim that a 120 is the best body grip because of a neck catch but a skunk's neck is extremely small and they're hard to quickly and efficiently dispatch with just a neck catch. I've found a suitcase catch to be best so I've settled on 155's.
