I'm a Winchester model 70 fan but just recently bought a CVA Cascade in 300 win mag

Has a bergara threaded barrel

My research showed it's the the best rifle under $700

Everybody has an opinion though

Nothing wrong with an older Rem 700. Why do you insist on a threaded barrel? Is it needed to accomplish your goal for a rifle. How will you use the rifle?

should not be a problem getting a "pre-threaded " barrel.
There are specs on thread sizes, if made to specs fit won't be an issue.
Thats whole point of the specs, so that you don't need to fit parts together by hand.
That being said its not impossible that either piece is not made to specs and its hard to tell without the proper equipment.

Hopes of eventually getting a suppressor. Would probably be used by my younger daughter so planning on a possible muzzle brake. Not to mention my shoulders are almost to give out from years of abuse at work.
