I skinned a skunk this week and put it up with the feet on. I have put up several skunks without feet but this is the first one with them on. Skunks, of course, are put up fur in, so what do I do with the front feet. I left them turned skin side out, but it just doesn't look right. Is this correct?

`What i do is hang the pelts horizontally so that the legs hang down until they under side of the legs are dry. Then Ill rehang the pets vertically. I do the same thing with canines before flipping them.

Correct-dry horizontal with front legs hanging down.Fold them flat against the bodywhen dry.

I see that you split the front legs on your skunks. I didn't do that, so the front feet are enclosed inside the legs. Will they work ok like that or do they need to be split so the paw its self can hang out?

Unless you're mounting them, go ahead and split them. Less risk of spoilage that way.
