Although it can maneuver, it will still travel in the direction it is carried by the jet stream. Yep. It'll be over southern US in a day or so

Supposedly at 60,000 feet. If you did the flying lawn chair thing you would need some O2 bottles.

Would be silly to shoot it down. Capturing it may be a possibility. There isn’t really anything it could see that their satellites couldn’t see better. If it is spying, it’s looking for something other than images. Maybe signals or probing the reaches of our active monitoring? The fact that they apologized for it is stunning. They never apologize for anything. Something is very odd. My guess is a faction in China is trying to provoke us or stall the diplomacy. Maybe with, maybe without the government’s authority.

I assume if it is calling home to momma, we are eavesdropping on the conversation. My guess is if shot down, there is also a self destruct mechanism. Wouldn't be much to discover.

It would silly to let a Chinese balloon to fly across our airspace!!! As far as knowing what it can see or do I doubt anyone on this thread has the slightest idea. It didn't get here by accident nor without a reason which is reason enough to bring it down in my opinion and make it perfectly clear to China it isn't going happen again.

Shoot it down then tell Xi the next shot goes down his chimney.

That probably would happen if we had a President that had any common sense and a set and wasn't on China's payroll

Anyone know the international ceiling on air space?? There must surely be one? Are all the satellites I see when I'm sitting campfire ours? Do we shoot down any that we don't know what they are?

Somebody just shoot the dang thing already! All you guys out there that claim your creedmores can shoot across twelve counties and two time zones shouldn’t have any trouble at all punching holes in that thing. I’m tired of hearing about the thing. Those commies don’t do ANYTHING without an intent or reason. Keep that idiot Blinkens trip over there next week on schedule and have him take a few pieces to give back, with a crap eating grin.
Any of you Creedmore commandos that do poke your head out the window and get a few rounds thru that slantilly sewn blimp, get some pics when it comes down or it didn’t happen.
