I was lamenting to my wife that I missed the days that I would never go through a list of preparations, I'd never consider and plan for what might go wrong, I'd never tell people where I was going, I'd just up and go. I told her I missed those days. Her reply, Oh so your telling me your finally using your brain. I guess I use my brain a bit more now that I'm getting old.

The list of things I do as I get older is a lot shorter than the list of things I don’t do as I get older!

That WAS my favorite way to fail myself, leave a perfectly organized list hanging on the fridge door or paper weighted on on a work bench.

Now I text lists to my email or save an emailed list as a draft I can add to (as long as I take my dern phone LOL )

I'm 43 I'm hoping to wrap er all up by 65, plan on retiring at 50 and enjoying a decade without working. I've no interest in living to nursing home age my body is beat up and broke already and unless something changed it doesn't get better as you age no interest in burdening someone else with caring for me when I no longer can

Those help me up bars on each side of the toilet are really handy too. Especially when you need to get rid of a really big one.
