Kubota is partnered with Land Pride- they offer some bundling discounts when buying a new tractor.
Is the Land Pride line-up: Good, Better or Best when it comes to implements or would I be better off buying a different brand on the secondary market?
More specifically- I’m looking for a tiller and rotary cutter but not limited to those two implements.

Owned a Land Pride 606NT no till drill for my pastures while still livestock grazing, quality is top shelf. FWIW, Land Pride equipment is produced by the Great Plains Company. About the only difference between Great Plains (green) and Land Pride (orange) is the color. All of the components and "gauges" on my Land Pride drill were Great Plains.
That said, it's good, reliable equipment.

I bought a tiller at Rural King. King Cutter I guess it is. It seems to work fine. I thought I'd post to tell you that I bought the biggest one that I could get behind my tractor, which is the 5' model I think, and that ensures two things. ONE its a pain the neck to hook up b/c there isn't a lot of wiggle room and TWO my tractor would never pull it without 4x4 and low granny gear. Turf tires probably don't help. Something else I'll mention is hydrostatic foot pedal transmission is the way to go. So if I was shopping around the way I think you are I'd make sure to get those things; 4x4, low gear, and hydro. Sounds silly but the handiest attachment I have is the draw bar thing with a ball (reese hitch) on it and using it to move trailers and campers around. I welded two tow hooks and a goose neck ball to the front bucket. The only thing I would do to it that I haven't done is put LED flood lights on it everywhere so people think a space ship landed when I'm mowing at night. I should probably get one of those quick connect three point hitch adaptors but cussing them things going on and off reminds me of my dad and grandpa too much and I'd hate to spoil myself.

I would not hesitate to buy LandPride implements

I will disagree with the hydrostatic drive though. Even the manager told me the manual trans with shuttle shift was the better choice.

The hydro is nice no doubt, but the opportunity for failure is greatly increased. Meaning downtime and dollar signs wink

I couldn't disagree with Ohioboy more. I drive a tractor 7 to8 hours a day. I hate hydrostatic drive. It's fine if your tractor is a play toy but if you are actually doing any serious work with it manual with a shuttle shift is the only way to go. Try bumping over a seriously bumpy field with hydrostatic and keeping the desired pressure on that pedal the whole time. Not gonna happen. A hand adjusted throttle is best for real work.

I have never used any of their implements but have also never heard anything bad about them.

Maybe I read into it a little too much I guess but since he was talking Kabota and Land Pride equipment and asking the question he was I assumed he was talking a utility tractor to help with chores around the house (i.e. play toy) not to spend hours in the field everyday plowing ground and or doing field work like the Millennial Farmer. I mean he or anyone could buy an old Allis Chalmers WD-45 (or even a Minneapolis Moline maybe) and have a hand clutch with a gravity bucket front end loader I guess but having a front end loader with hydrostatic drive is 100 times better when working around the house than using a foot pedal clutch is what I was getting at... I guess it doesn't matter, someone is always going to disagree aren't they.

Kubota owns land pride through Great Plains, bought them several years ago.

I have a Land Pride disc I purchased last year. It is well built and does the work. I will not hesitate to buy other land pride implements.

I spent 20 years just south east of Salina KS and all the Great Plains plants that make both lines are right there in a couple of small towns. The guys that I know who work there never leave and say the company is top notch and so are their implementations. I am happy to hear that the people who use their products think highly of them.

I agree 100%. If he is looking at land pride implements I don't think he is a "real" farmer. I am guessing he is looking at a smaller utility tractor and hydro transmission is the only way to go.

I got a Land Pride tiller with our Kubota. I think I would rate it about a 4 on scale up to 10. Seals started leaking after a few months. Maybe whoever assembled it didn't tighten up the nuts and bolts properly. We till a field with it and it goes down about 4 inches max on first pass. The Maschio I used to have was a much better tiller.

Even in the little tractors I would not want hydrostatic. To each their own. My nephew bought one with hydrostatic a couple years ago and it is a pretty good working machine but I just don't like the hydro. Saying its the only way to go is just not right. Depends on what he intends on doing with it and how much he is going to use it.

Around here 2 kinds of people buy those tractors for the most part. People who really have no use for a tractor but want one. And people who do have a use for a tractor but should have bought a bigger one. Those guys tend to work the crap out of them pushing them to their limits.

I have a Land Pride tiller that I have beat the crap out of it and other than having to put a set of new tines on it it has been problem free.

Appreciate everyone’s feedback- currently we’re maintaining all our kill plots with ATV attachments, as we continue to add projects and plots, this has become less efficient and harder on the ATV’s, I plan to plant 1.5 miles of a new logging road this spring as a linear food plot and we have numerous kill plots of 1/2 to 3/4 acre to maintain. We have larger food plots 20+ acres and those get tilled and planted by a real farmer with real equipment.
A compact tractor is a good choice for what we need to do, hydrostatic drive would be fine in this application as everything is lawn leveled already. I went to the dealer yesterday, the Land Pride products I looked at included ta 58” tiller and 60” brush hog. The tractor I’m looking at is 37 HSP with a 55” wide wheelbase., I don’t want to overpower the tractor just cover the wheels. Here’s another question- what tires would be the best for semi-dry to moist clay soil substates? They spec them as AG or Industrial – I think that translated to R1 & R4 but not sure?

Ag tires will give you the best traction, but will wear out sooner because they are softer. Industrial tires will wear the best if you do much hard surface or "long distance" gravel road driving. Industrial tires will also resist punctures better than ag tires, but there traction is not real good in muddy conditions.

My land pride tiller was a problem child from the time I bought it. Kept eating up the shaft housing. Finally traded it for a Rhino. More expensive but no problems since.

I hope you go with hydrostatic transmission. We use a king litter tiller which I believe are made in Gallopolis, Ohio. Not sure if I got the spelling of Gallopolis correct or not.
