Years ago at a sports show in Morgantown, WV I bought some mouth calls off a fella from Virginia. HIs company was called Perfection Turkey calls. There's a Perfection Custom Turkey calls on the internet, but that's not them. Can't seem to find anything on the internet as to whether they're still in business, and can't seem to find the back of the package with his name and number. Don't know if any of you Virginia fellas know anything if he's still in business? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think that outfit had a booth at the NRA Great American Sport Show in Harrisburg, PA
at the state farm show complex.

That show is going on this week until Sunday the 12th

Perfection was a company started by Jim Clay and Tom Duvaul. Jim was from winchester va. he is 76 years old and still lives in winchester. Use to know him years ago.

I feel your pain. I got tired of store bought stuff that would sound great one year then buy another the following year and something changed because the sound wasn’t right.
I now have a guy that makes mine the way I want them. He’ll be in business a very long time and so far refuses to sell out to the big companies.
Also have a custom call maker for my pots and trumpets. He’s been making our calls for over 10yrs now. I call and tell him the pitch I’m wanting and he’ll make it. I make fun of him sometimes for making right hand and left hand pots.
My son (southpaw) has a pot call that is his “go to” pot call. I can’t play it to save my life. He can make it sing. I told the guy about it and always tell him no left handed calls for me!!

25+ years ago I bought, and still have, a Perfection Calls Screamin Demon glass pot call. Have taken a lot of birds with that call. I called him years ago looking for another. I believe the story was that he sold his business and the buyers quit making them.

Yes, it was Jim Clay that owned the company. Used to have a booth every year at the NWTF Convention. Real knowledgeable turkey man. Don't know if he is still in business or not. Mouth calls change over time as new materials and idea's on what makes the best sounds come along. So what you bought back then is probably not going to be available in the exact same pattern as they were then.

Perfection calls were my go to years ago... 3D Omega was my favorite. I don't recall seeing them at the Sportsman show this year. I bought one the last time I saw them for sale, and they were not even close to being like they were..
