Not a fan of what the NRA has become….but it’s still considered one of the most powerful lobbies in the country. GOA is a great grassroots organization and slowly building power but they aren’t even listed in the top 500 lobby groups in the country. I believe there is a place for both and without them gun owners will lose the fight.

Except the NRA SUPPORTS gun control. Their only goal is to make money. No different than PETA. PETA does not really want to abolish livestock for food any more than the NRA wants to see their baby the NFA repealed. It would kill the goose that lays golden eggs.

The NRA does have some good training programs for safety and range officers. I have been thinking about taking them but don't want to have to be a member to do so so have not.

They absolutely did. Charleston Hesston did TV ads that were supportive. NRA lawyers helped to write it.
