No easy way, I aways trailer my utv to the far away from the road jobs & get in as close as I can , I finally bought a deer carrier with large wheels It carries all my traps, drowners & everything else in to where Need it, It carries a pretty good load out.

Large plastic tub sled, really easy to drag thru the woods.

I didn't know about the jet sleds back in those days. Not sure they had them or if so I never saw any. I believe that was before I had the internet or computer. They would have worked nicely. I have had two now for many years. Just got a large one a few years back. Wore out the first one for any more water use. Used it for marsh trapping for many years also. It carried all my gear while wading around floating it behind. This large one I don't think I would want to drag it too far loaded full. Wheels are best on a long/low profile cart like design if you can make it work. Mine just had wheels in the back. I bet a fellow could make an old door work. Metal would be stronger and more durable My old jet sled started to get brittle and crack so I patched it with large truck tire patches that helped for a while. Now I use it to haul firewood to the house in the winter.

Looking for any ideas y'all might wanna share to save time and mostly my back. I have had several ADC beaver jobs now and naturally they are never close to the road. Currently I use a sling to throw one over each shoulder. When there are multiple trips to be made it really cuts into the day. These trips range from a few hundred yards to several hundreds. Just curious what the pros do? Looking for simplicity and ease. It's common land owners will not allow a 4 wheeler or buggy cause they don't want ruts. No 4 wheeler let them keep the beavers and see how that works out for them IMO

Get yourself a good quality canoe pack with a tump strap. You can fit 4 or 5 good sized beaver in it and once you get it up its pretty good to carry. I could carry 4 or 5 beaver for a long ways in my younger days. 2 or 3 big ones is still no problem for a quarter mile or so today with a good canoe pack and a tump strap. Way easier than dragging or carrying by hand.

If you’re worried about the few bucks you’ll get for the hide, just price it into your fee and leave em in the swamp. That is a very bad idea in some places.Almost guaranteed to meet a bear on your next trip into the location if you leave dead beaver around where you are working.

Never had that problem in Wisconsin….but I see your point in Texas.

Mostly concerned about the aftermath of rotting carcasses with some clients these days. It's an added bonus to have a freezer full of beaver meat. Down here the hides usually end up as gifts to those who want one.
I appreciate all the ideas. I ended up using a cart to pull behind my ebike and it worked like a charm to move sheer weight. However the bike takes up a lotta valuable space when you have multiple species jobs going in a day. Still working on the perfect plan. Ordering a sled to tryout.

If you're not pulling a trailer you can get a hitch attachment to put the Bike on the hitch. If you are running a trailer you could weld a hitch attachment to the front of the vehicle and carry the bike on front assuming you're using a truck/Suv
