These pics go back to 2005. The high otter catches are 2010 and 2011.

I used to just shake my head when I heard trappers say that southern fur wasn't worth anything. Don't know where they got that from, especially back then. Glancing back over my spreadsheet logs...the fur pictured was about 50 grand worth.

But, not now..

Thanks Jon.

It's been raining here all day. Been sitting here organizing deer camera pics amd came across my trapping pics folder.

Looking at fur always seems to have a calming effect on me....

The trapline memories are great!!

That's a great view of past accomplishments. Good job!!! Thank you for sharing.

I sometimes wish I'd taken more pictures over the years.

Great pics. I can remember even as kids probably late 70’s or real early 80’s selling green coons for $15-25, fox for $30-45, and bobcats for $55-70…everything green. 12-13yr old kids splitting a $1000-1500 check a month had our Dads rethinking their career choices, lol. Wish we had taken pics back then. Rode on bicycles dropping our catches in burlap sacks tied around the handle bars. Our “release” stick was homemade, made out of a mop handle with a couple eyelets and nylon rope. We’d skin after school in my buddies barn. Of course that was after homework and chores. Guess about the time we started noticing girls and baseball we drifted from trapping. Hard to believe 35yrs later I’d get back into it. Luckily what I don’t make in fur now, I make in removing them for management purposes.
