American Fur is Ryan Custiss, been in the game quite a while also.

I believe Alan calls Santaquin, Utah home.

American Fur is based in Burns, Oregon. Travels the west buying fur. Has been in the business at least 15 years.

Nice thing about Ryan (American Fur) is that he is a younger fellow, probably late 40s. Good to see a young fur buyer, a lot of the regular ones - Kortum, Judkins, Schroeder, Steele, to name a few - are getting old. Most of those are 70 plus and won’t be around for ever.

Ryan is a nice guy to talk to and helpful, if he isn't too busy at a sale he will show you what he is looking for when he is grading fur. He buys furs but often there is a guy with him (can't remember his name) who is buying more craft stuff; oddball animals, hides with the feet on, etc.
