Anybody that understands logistics and many of you I know traveled across this great country realize. This country is huge mile after mile at eighty miles an hour and it takes me six hours to get across Nebraska from York to Cheyenne on my trek to Montana which is another nine hours! There will be no invasion, there will be more East Palestine incidents and the like to make it easier to move in when enough citizens are neutralized. But there will still be an un effected group and the resistance will be great. But in the end there are no references to us in the good book so be what may be it’s all gonna work out in the end. Right Mr June?
Yep. I know there's no mention of a USA in the Book of Revelation and I'm like most who doesn't see any symbolism in Revelation referring to our nation, but I'm of the Augustinian camp that believes God raises up and brings to heal all nations. By His Will and for His Purposes. How and why that happens is contained in all the Bible; the Creation - Redemption - Restoration Plan scholars call it.
Will the USA be attacked? I think it's always been under attack. From an outside nation? Probably someday but not quite yet. I love history. A lot. And I've always read and studied it. A lot. So I realize that In the late 400's when Odoacer led the mass of barbarian mercenaries who worked for the Roman army in their overthrew of Emperor Augustulus, and declared himself to be King of Italy.... the great 8 century old Roman Empire in the west came to an end. But in the East the Ottoman Empire flourished for a while and even today the Russians still say they are remnants 1600 years later of the remaining "Roman Empire," claiming a direct succession of the Byzantines. The remains of the Holy Roman Empire lasted from 800 to the 1800's too.
So people's nations rise and they fall and most often history tells us that the rot of any nation comes from within. An immoral rot that weakens a people group (we now call nations) to the point of apathy, complacency, division, hatred, injustice, and representation by narcissistic - unjust leaders.
I believe as Victor Davis Hanson is now saying on many media outlets that the revolution in America has already happened. It began in earnest, with great planning in the 1960's. Most times, national revolutions begin with "The PEOPLE!!", who topple the governing. But in our nation's case, beginning in the 1960's, the government, education, media and entertainment industries have become infested by progressives with a Marxist or Neo-Marxist philosophy, who now seek to "revolutionize" the people from on top. They are few but they are powerful. I believe, as Scripture calls it, they have ill in their hearts towards others. But they are not the first in history to have ill in their hearts towards others. We're all prone to that bent until God, by grace, changes us.
So many people worry about the woulda, coulda, shoulda's of today and tomorrow and I know God's Word helps us to know that woulda, coulda, and shoulda only steal a person's joy in life. Which is not of God.
So we attempt to be the light for people who are in need, in trouble, in a pickle.... basically in a mess in life, as best we can.
Or we can say screw everyone and good luck to yas.
As many are now advocating. But not me.
I won't be of the camp who hates and who is proud of the fact they hate. As a pastor, I meet democrats, republicans, independents, liberals, conservatives, black, white, brown, young, old, men, women, theys, thems, straight, gays, and 1000 other "categories" but in the end we're all made in God's image and all of us are following the wrong leader if we're not following the God of the Bible. Will our nation survive for 1000 generations? If God desires it. Will we have anything to do with it? I think we live our lives the best we can while the grand narrative moves forward (which is not evolution).
I pray God continues to Shine His Face upon us all for His glory, not ours, however and whenever that plays out.
I'm checking traps today and praying for our pastor's wife who was not expected to live through today with her terminal cancer (she's 52 years old and a wonderful lady).
And praising God for the small things.
Blessings y'all!
