A friend of mine served time as a paratrooper there. He told me it really , really gets dark in the deep jungle. He said you never understood dark until ya experienced that.

Go into an Underground Coal Mine. Not only is it dark but when the lights go out the Rats by the Hundreds come out and start nibbling on you!!!
