Getting a new tiller and was planning on a new Troybilt big red but having issues getting one here. The local store can get me a Honda FRC800. Has anyone on here used a Honda tiller and are they any good?

Never used one, but I wouldn't be afraid of anything built by Honda.

I had a small four-stroke Honda tiller once. My partner burned up the gearbox because he didn't clear some burlap twine wrapped in the forks. I was not impressed with the tiller. Too lightweight. I replace it with a Chinese-made brand called Earthquake. That dog will hunt. Much more power than the Honda. Actually ordered it on the Internet. It is 2-stroke and more displacement than the Honda.

I run a honda the last 4 years. Not sure if same model you quoted but it was the best starting/running machine I ever used. Very nice machine and very dependable.

Good Luck!

I have one of the FRC800’s. Expensive but it starts on 1st pull and does a good job. I will give you a warning though. They till forward so if you don’t have the drag bar pretty deep you’re gonna go for a ride real quick.

Buy a 30 year Troy Built if you can ever find one at a sale they are tough but anything new that says Honda is probably good quality
